The app
What is inside Zap Trades
Each part of the app, in plain words, with a screenshot from the sample firm Harbourside Heating & Plumbing. That firm is made-up data, not a customer.
Today and the moneyThe first screen is the firm’s day: who is clocked in, open enquiries, and the money cards.
Receptionist and inboxWhen you are on the tools, the receptionist takes the call. The inbox keeps what was said.
Your receptionist numberSearch a UK town, send the business paperwork, and the first number is included. You can also keep the number you already use.
QuotesA quote is materials, labour, and a deposit if you want one. Send it before you leave the drive.
Invoices and paymentsSend the invoice, take the card payment, and the money goes to the firm. Zap Trades does not take a fee of that payment.
Jobs and customersA job is a customer, an address and a price. The number, the name and the client stay together.
Diary and bookingCalls can hold the next free slot. Customers can also book a visit themselves.
TextsReminders, review requests and payment links go out as texts. The allowance is counted in message segments.
CertificatesWrite the record on the phone, or upload one that was made in other software. You sign it. The app does not.
Receipts and job profitPhotograph the receipt. It sits on the job. Profit is the quote, minus materials, minus wages.
Clock-in and timesheetsClock in against the job. The timesheet is what payroll uses.
Rota and staffSee who is on which job this week, and who has a seat.
ReportsFilter the spend, see it by category, job and supplier, and download that range.
Ask ZapDescribe the fault. The assistant walks through it and writes the safety stops in. It does not sign anything.
Accounts syncSend the new rows to the accounts package, or download a file for the bookkeeper.
Settings and securityThe firm’s details, an optional authenticator app, and the numbers printed on certificates.
Plans and billingReceptionist, Solo, Team or Pro. The price is for the firm. Usage on top is people, minutes and texts.
